Vinyl Siding Institute 2008
AWARDS OF DISTINCTION
For 25 years, the Vinyl Siding Institute, Inc (VSI) has sponsored the Awards of Distinction Program to honor outstanding projects by Contractors that use Vinyl Siding. Award winners showcase the design, versatility, quality, performance, and beauty of vinyl siding, and feature products that are certified through the VSI Vinyl Siding Product Certification Program. The Vinyl Siding Institute developed the VSI Vinyl Siding Certification Program to assure homeowners, builders, home remodelers, contractors, code officials, and architects of the quality of the vinyl siding that they select and use.
The judges in this years' contest selected 43 winners from a pool of entries from across the country. Submissions were evaluated on the basis of imaginative use, design, functionality, and quality of workmanship for vinyl siding installations.
The 2008 panel of judges included Tom Manion, an architect whose firm, Manion and Associated, designs both residential and commercial properties; Jim Rooney, a home improvement writer, a former home remodeler, and a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors; Edward Tombari, a Land Use Planner with the National Association of home Builders, Land Development Services; and Jery Huntley, the Vinyl Siding Institute’s President.
The four categories in the competition are Residential New Construction; Residential Re-Siding; Historic Restoration; and Non-Residential.
Hometown Exterior Designs is one of only 12 companies in the Nation to receive the award for Residential Re-Siding. And in fact, Hometown Exterior Designs was the ONLY company on the entire West Coast to receive this prestigious award. This is the third time that Hometown Exterior Designs has won the Vinyl Siding Institute's Award of Distinction. Previously in 2002 and 2004.
For the very best in Craftsmanship and Design Ideas in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas, choosing Hometown Exterior Designs for all your vinyl siding needs is clearly your best decision.
